Webmirror 2.0 Command Line Paramteres
The command line driven usage of webmirror present only for compatibility reasons.
You can start webmirror using the command line:
webmirror http://www.mycom.com index.html c:\mycom 20 1M P [UE]
which means that you want to retrieve all pages up to twenty level deep starting
from http://www.mycom.com/index.html The result is going to be saved in the directory
c:\mycom and the total downloaded files size will not exceed one meg. You also retrieve
pictures and you can specify also the update or extend feature of webmirror.
- Update and extend features are not implemented in this version of webmirror,
this feature was incomplete and unreliable in older version. This feature is planned
in future version of webmirror.
- In the example above I assumed that you use UNIX and name the perl program "webmirror". Under
Windows NT or in other setups you may need to say "perl webmirror.pl" instead.
- Use this program invocation method only if you used older version of webmirror in shell files,
and you want to migrate to the newer version in a snap. Plan modification of the shell files as later
versions of webmirror may not support this way of invocation.
