Date: 2002/05/20 10:34

Q:
Hi!

im trying to output error to browser by using fatalsToBrowser but with no
success. here is my code

#!/usr/bin/perl

use CGI::Carp "fatalsToBrowser";
use CGI qw(:standard);

print header();
print start_html(-title=>"eHR Error!");
print "You should contact the admin.";
print end_html;

######
# juz to see the error, remove { and rerun
#############
if ($a eq "1") {
#testing
}

my platform is : Linux Red Hat 7.1, Apache Web Server, Perl 5.6.0.

the only thing that the browser shows is (if u remove the curly bracket to
simulate an error) :

Software error:
Execution of /home/ep2p/cgi-bin/testkeri.cgi aborted due to compilation
errors.

For help, please send mail to the webmaster (root@localhost), giving this
error message and the time and date of the error.

hence : it doesn't tell what errors there is.

thanks.
A:
I am not an expert in CGI.pm that level deep.

Sorry

Peter
