cgi forms handling script

Date: 2002/06/12 16:48

Q:
I am using the freeware bnbform cgi forms handling script. The script
writes the form field data from an html page to an output file in the cgi
directory in addition to e-mailing the form contents to any user-specified
recipient. Is there a way to have part of the form entries go to one
output file and the rest of the form entries go to another?

The script itself can be seen at
http://www.bignosebird.com/carchive/bnbform/bnbform.txt

The html coding directing the cgi script is:

<INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="required"
VALUE="name,e_mail,phone,abstract">
<INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="data_order"
VALUE="name,e_mail,phone,abstract">
<INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="submit_to" VALUE="hwc@ornl.gov">
<INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="automessage" VALUE="mymessage">
<INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="outputfile" VALUE="form2">
<INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="countfile" VALUE="form2">
<INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="emailfile" VALUE="form2">
<INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="form_id" VALUE="2003 Conference Abstract
submitted">
<INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="ok_url"
VALUE="http://www.ornl.gov/ceea/Conference_2002/thanks.html">
<INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="not_ok_url"
VALUE="http://www.ornl.gov/ceea/Conference_2002/oops.html">

I appreciate any help you can give me.

A:
Yes, there is a possibility, but it requires that the script is modified
and this needs programming skills.

You have to examine the code of the function write_data.
