Q:
I have a mailinglist that I am running on my site (www.123coachme.com)
however, I took it off because everyone was getting 500 errors. I know the
program works because I used it before. Somehow on Monday (7th) the darn
thing still wont work. I am positive I have the correct chmod and uploaded
in ascii. I am going crazy. Maybe you can help or even suggest a different
email list program. I am also looking for a script that will allow people
to download something after giving me their email.

OK. What is in the error log? As the web page says: there is more
information in the error log. And it does not lie. There is sure a great
wealth of information about the problem.
It is usually configured to be under
/var/log/apache/error.log
