I am not a programmer so please bear with me. I am evaluating different
websites to host our company's website. We are concerned about performance
and uptime of servers. Have you seen a script that could hit a URL (every
X minutes) and logs results that could be used to measure loadtime and
uptime? This would run from a win98 or a linux box.

provides sucha service. They do their service for a long time and they
also give a simpler service free of charge.
I used such a script a year ago but that is not freeware and not mine.
